Assessments are usually carried out at my home in South East Gloucestershire.
The assessment takes approximately 3 hours, during which time you/your child will be encouraged to have plenty of short breaks. During the assessment, parents are welcome to stay, or explore the surrounding areas. In terms of safeguarding, I am fully DBS checked with all the necessary professional practising certification.
Parents are asked to return 3 hours after the assessment began. I can only offer limited feedback after the assessment, so like to arrange a zoom call at a later date.
Please ensure that you/your child has had a standard eye test within the last two years. If you/your need glasses or a coloured overlay for reading, please bring these with you.
In the aftermath of the Covid pandemic, specific arrangements for maintaining social distancing and hygiene have been kept in place to ensure everyone’s safety. Face coverings do not need to be worn during the assessment. In the assessment room, the chair, table and all items needed during assessment will be sanitised before arrival.
Wherever possible, social distancing will be followed. However, at times resources will need to be passed between the assessor and student and the distance between them may need to come within 1m for the administration of certain tests. Both parties will have access to sanitiser, wipes and tissues. Windows in the assessment room will remain open for ventilation, so please bring layers if it is chilly day.
Reports will be emailed to you as a password protected pdf (usually within 3 weeks of the assessment). If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to your visit.
